In PURITO we strive to offer innovative and environmentally conscious solutions at every step of our product development processes to assess and minimize our environmental footprint and do our part at preserving the world's ecosystems.
PCR
Post-consumer recycled materials (PCR) are reprocessed plastics. Reprocessing of existing plastic materials can reduce the amount of energy and fossil fuel used per unit of production, and help protect the environment from excessive pollution and waste of resources.
✓ Reduction of CO2 ✓ Less use of fossil resources ✓ Less energy consumption ✓ Less water consumption ✓ Reduction of the amount of waste ✓ Can be recycled after use
PIR
Post-industrial recycled material (PIR) refers to plastic scrap created during the original bottle manufacturing process.
PLA
PLA is an abbreviation for PolyLacticAcid. It is a compostable film that enables products to be produced with a reduced carbon footprint.
Reduced Plastic Paper Tube
In an effort to reduce plastic waste, we use paper-based tubes that contain 58% less plastic.
Upcycling Box
We use a biodegradable, single box made of the upcycled sugarcane fibers. Labels are printed with soy-based ink, which makes the package easily recyclable.
*Upcycling is the process of transforming, repairing, restoring, and reusing the by-products into new, greater quality materials.
